Top Features In iPadOS And iOS 13

Bluetooth keyboard shortcuts (iPad Only)

1 If you have a Bluetooth keyboard connected to your iPad, you can use keyboard shortcuts as you do on a Mac. To find out which keyboard shortcuts are currently available, hold the Shiftand CMD keys until the window appears.

2 The keyboard shortcuts you’re offered depends on the app you’re currently using. For example, in the Files app, you can create a new document with CMD-N, a new folder with Shift-CMD-N, open with CMD-O and more.

3 On the main iPad screen, you can use CMD-H to go back to the first page of the Home screen. The app switcher is especially useful; as on a Mac, you can tap CMD-Tab and switch between open apps.

4 On the App Store app, the keyboard shortcuts are used for navigation. With the CMD key held, you can tap ‘1’ to go to the Today page, ‘2’ to go to the Games page, ‘3’ to go to the Apps page, and so on.

Using a Bluetooth mouse

1 With iOS 13, it’s possible to use a Bluetooth mouse with your iPhone, but it’s not easy to set up. To do so, you must go through Accessibility, so first of all, go to Settings > Accessibility and tap the Touch option.

2 On the next page, tap AssistiveTouch, which is most likely off. At the top of the AssistiveTouch screen, turn on the AssistiveTouch option by tapping the switch. Now scroll a little way further down the screen.
