<p>His most resounding failure has been along the offensive line, which I have been speaking about for the past eight years. It continues to be the biggest weakness despite all of Gettleman&rsquo;s efforts. First round pick left tackle Andrew Thomas has been by far Gettleman&rsquo;s most glaring disappointment. Thomas suddenly doesn&rsquo;t resemble the unanimous All-American player he was at Georgia. Will Hernandez, Nick Gates, Cam Fleming, and Kevin Zeitler have not jelled as a unit, stunting the progress of second year QB Daniel Jones. One small hope is tackle Matt Peart who, despite limited playing time, has shown tremendous upside and should have an increase in his workload in the second half of the season.</p><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p id="2">Last season&rsquo;s trade for defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who was then franchise tagged this past offseason, is hands down Gettleman&rsquo;s worst move in his three-year tenure as the Giants GM. Despite Williams having a productive season thus far, he&rsquo;s still not worth the third and fourth round draft picks we gave up to acquire him nor is he worth the over $16 million he is receiving this year.</p><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p id="2">Staying on the defensive side of the ball, free agent signings Blake Martinez and James Bradberry have been playing at All-Pro levels and clearly are on the positive side of Gettleman staying on as the Giants GM. Another positive for our GM is the signing of kicker Graham Gano following the debacle of Aldrick Rosas. Gano has been automatic all season.</p><div style="page-break-before:always; page-break-after:always"><p id="2">Gettleman has done a complete overhaul of the roster and the Giants are now the youngest team in the NFL, yet they lack top level talent and those explosive players which most other teams possess.</p><p id="3">Over the second half of the season, the conversation of Gettleman&rsquo;s fate will be at the forefront. Whichever side of the debate you&rsquo;re on, it&rsquo;s not clear cut on which direction the Giants should go. At this point, I believe he should be fired unless the team plays at a higher level, key players emerge, and they miraculously start winning games. I don&rsquo;t see how he can save his job.</p>
