KEMPTON August 20 (standard-slow)
6f handicap (Class 4) FAIR FORM
AIRSHOW (Michael Appleby) looked in absolutely tremendous nick and showed these a clean pair of heels until running out of steam at the furlong pole. He’s got bags of early speed, should be suited by dropping back to 5f and will be winning an AW handicap soon.
GOODWOOD August 23 (good-soft, good in places)
2m three-year-old handicap (Class 5)
RACE LACKING DEPTH WHISTLER BOWL (Gary Moore) is a big, masculine filly and connections were super confident about her chance here. However, she couldn’t reel-in Blame It On Sally (winner since) and jockey Hector Crouch is adamant she failed to handle the track. She’s lightly raced, scopey and can make amends back on a galloping circuit.
GOODWOOD August 24 (good, good-soft in places)
1m6f three-year-old Group 3 (Class 1) SMART FORM
PROMISSORY (John Gosden) impressed in the paddock on her debut in May and has thrived since. She ran a cracker to bustle-up Sir Ron Priestley here, getting a thumbs-up from jockey Rab Havlin in the process. He expects her to develop into a smart middle-distance/stayer next term and she must win Group races.
LINGFIELD August 28 (good-firm)
1m3f110y handicap (Class 6)
POOR FORM
LADY OF YORK (Chelsea Banham) looked in good order but raced keenly before fading to finish fifth. She represents shrewd connections, is well treated on her best form and will be dangerous when the market speaks in her favour.
SANDOWN August 30 (good, good-firm in places)
7f two-year-old maiden (Class 4) RACE THAT WILL PRODUCE
WINNERS
