SAFETIES
THE TOP PROSPECTS
Dave Syvertsen

Grant Delpit/LSU 6’3/213/4.50(E)/Round 1 2019 Stats: 65 tackles, 4.5 TFL, 2 sacks / 2 INT, 7 PD / 1 FF

Pros: A leader of the defense. Plays at high level across several roles. Has lined up as the deep center fielder in Cover 1, over the slot, as an inside linebacker. Can fill multiple shoes and can change his mindset based on the situation. Aggressive downhill and lateral pursuit with a closer’s mentality. Will fill lanes, maintain outside containment, and finish. Reactions to the ball and routes include minimal wasted time and movement. Cons: Has too much all-or-nothing in his game as a tackler. Slow to locate the ball and pounce when he starts with his back to the quarterback. Doesn’t maintain his balance and control in that position. Footwork and patience need to be better in man coverage. Pro Comparison: Eric Reid

Xavier McKinney/Alabama 6’0/201/4.63/Round 1 2019 Stats: 95 tackles, 5.5 TFL, 3 sacks / 3 INT, 5 PD / 4 FF
