The start of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) has been post-poned to April 15 due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak that is beginning to have a major impact on India. The tournament was earlier supposed to kick-off on March 29 with a contest between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. However, even if the event had started on the scheduled date, it would have been played behind closed doors and without foreign players till April 15 due to the Health Ministry advisory and visa restrictions. As the wait for IPL 2020 gets longer, here’s a look at some impressive records fans must know about.
MOST RUNS - 5,412 (VIRAT KOHLI)
India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has scored the most runs in the IPL. In 177 matches, he has 5,412 runs to his name at an average of 37.84 and a strike rate of 131.61 with five hundreds and 36 fifties.
MOST SIXES - 326 (CHRIS GAYLE)
