Celts head north aiming to come back with all three points

HIGHLAND FLING

FOLLOWING the international break, the Hoops are back in action for the first time in a fortnight when they travel to play Ross County on Saturday.

The Dingwall side are relative newcomers to the top flight and, indeed, played Celtic in only two Scottish Cup games and one League Cup tie prior to climbing to the top tier – and even those cup ties were this side of the Millennium for the Highland side who were founded in 1929.

However, since their first showing in the Premiership, County have been almost ever-present at the top table and, indeed, season 2018/19 was the only term they missed of Celtic’s nine-in-a-row.

This weekend will see the 24th league meeting between the sides and the Staggies go into the game having won two, drawn two and lost two from six tight league outings with no team finishing more than one goal ahead.
