ROUND FOUR - Gabriel Davis • WR • Central Florida
Over the past two years, the Bills have gone from having one of the worst receiving groups in the league to one of the best. But that didn’t mean they would stay away from one of the deepest receiver classes in draft history.

The Bills grabbed the first of two receivers in the fourth round, selecting Central Florida’s Gabe Davis at 128th overall. They would later also add Oregon State’s Isaiah Hodgins with the 207th overall pick.

Both players have the potential to add a different and much-needed quality to the receiver room — size. Davis is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, while Hodgins is 6-foot-4, 210 pounds.

“Yeah, I got tired of hearing Sean call our group the smurfs. So we decided to get some larger ones,” Bills general manager Brandon Beane deadpanned. “Honestly, that’s where it was on the board. We had some big guys, some slots, some guys that could play inside-out and it really just worked that way. Gabriel Davis was the highest player on our board when he went even though it was a need as well. He truly was the highest guy, not every guy was the highest guy, but he was. Hodgins was not the highest guy but he was equal with a position that we felt Hodgins had a better chance to make our roster.”
