As the news reports of the growing pandemic began to escalate in early March, we were moved to action here in Global Missions Ministries.
Dr. Cathy Payne

We understood to help care for the children in our global orphanages/children’s homes, it was necessary to get funding to each ministry quickly. We were grateful for a grant received some time ago and for the giving of many donors who were already responding to the immediate need. We heard quickly from each of our works that funding had been received, food and resources had been acquired before inflated prices kicked in, and the children were safe and would be safe for the duration.

Almost immediately, we began to witness compassion and service from several of our national ministries. Before relief could be requested and received, I noticed several of our works were already distributing food and necessary supplies to their pastors, their people, and those who were immediately in need.

As we communicated to these workers, I asked them from where the funding had come. The response was almost always the same. Since we send personal allotments for ministry on the first of the month and project funding the middle of the month, these national leaders had used their personal funding to obtain food and necessary supplies to assist the needs of the people.
