On behalf of the ministers, members, and friends of the Church of God of Prophecy in the Caribbean, I would like to say goodbye to outgoing overseers; Bishop Withbourne Hutchinson and family of USVI, BVI, ABC Islands and Bishop Clarence Williams and family of Turks and Caicos Islands. Both bishops have served well in their respective areas and their labor of love is greatly appreciated. They have both transitioned out into other areas of ministry. May the blessings of the Lord be with them.
Warm welcome to two new overseers; Bishop Carswell Leonard and family, the incoming overseer for USVI, BVI, ABC Islands and Bishop Andrew Stone and family, for the Turks and Caicos Islands. Team Caribbean leaders are happy for these bishops. In the name of Jesus, we go forward for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
On Wednesday, June 3, there was a devastating fire at our church. The engulfing flames produced major destruction on our entire church building at The Church of God of Prophecy on Cox Street, Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos Islands. As we were going through the ravages after the fire, we shockingly discovered that our pulpit Bible withstood the flames. The only damage to the Bible sustained in the fire was the burnt front cover. The passage in Matthew 24:35 reminds us that “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” God be praised!
