“Where are we going dada? Tell me, please,” little Batul tugged at Naren’s hand. But Naren smiled at his cousin and shook his head refusing to say a word. Soon, they reached a large fairground with a great many people milling around decorated pavilions.
“It is a festival,” Batul clapped his hands. “What a wonderful surprise!” “Yes, Shiva festival,” Naren said. “Now stay close or you could get lost…” The two boys went from one pavilion to the other, offering prayers to the images of Shiva and Parvati. “Dada, I want a Ganesh idol,” Batul announced suddenly. “A small one,” he measured with his hands.
