Lindsey’s two-year-old son, Cohen, insisted on giving the delivery man a hug. “We get a lot of deliveries, and he never hugs the other delivery men or women, never mind run out the door to do so,” Lindsey told the Today show. Touched, Lindsey posted a video of the encounter taken by her security camera. Soon the video reached the delivery man, Ryan Catterson, who connected with Lindsey on social media to tell her just how much that moment had meant to him.
Ryan shared that his 16-year-old daughter, Alyssa, had died unexpectedly the week before the video was taken. “I had been telling my kids and the whole family how much I needed hugs…” Ryan told ABC News 4, “and then that sweet little boy gave me one.”
