Oscar Mucyo’s journey to Coventry Elim is nothing short of miraculous. Having grown up in Rwanda, he moved to the UK to study popular music and worship at the Nexus Institute of Creative Arts in Coventry. He hooked up with Coventry Elim and is now on their staff as a worship and media co-ordinator.

Now Oscar, 36, hopes to help other worship leaders with resources he would have never been able to access growing up in Africa.

His YouTube channel ‘Threads’ was launched in Feb-ruary. Oscar told Direction, “I really feel the mandate to help other people who are involved in the same ministry that I am; to grow and to share information and ideas. I feel that’s a very big part of what I’m called to do.

“I want to share what I have learned, using the people that are already here around Coventry and around the UK and from around all the networks we have to share it globally.

“That’s my vision… to teach and equip worship leaders, musicians, and creatives – just to help them with tips and guides. People who are doing a great job already need to share what they’ve learned and just spread the word.
