Now You’ve Got Your Shots, Caroline Schmidt Shows You How to Build Your Multi-aperture Box

WHILE BUILDING BOXES is a little outside of some photographers' repertoire, this is where the work really begins. If you’ve shot all the boxes squarely, from the same viewpoint, and lit them consistently, you’ll find this part quick and simple. If your frames vary and your boxes are a little wonky, you’ll need to do some corrective work before you can composite your big box. I’ve used all JPEGs as the D850 has done a spectacular job and my lighting is consistent, but if you need to tweak yours, pick your favourite and edit them each to look consistent in ACR or Lightroom first before exporting to JPEG for compositing.
