Everything You Need To Know About Social Media

Facebook

If you have to choose any one platform to be working then Facebook is the one. Although its popularity has reduced over the past few years, it still is a force to reckon with. It is useful for the photographers who find it hard to use Instagram, especially the older generation who might not be very tech savvy. Facebook helps you to build your brand awareness and it is also convenient because it lets you communicate with your clients and customers directly through messenger. It also allows you to advertise your business and services. Well, there was a time when everyone used to say that if you aren’t on FB then you don’t exist, and there was some truth to that joke. Even your potential clients look for you on Facebook. What you also need to know is that in recent years the focus of Facebook has shifted to a much more mature generation, which usually is over the age of 30 instead of teenagers.

Instagram

Instagram is very popular among teenagers and younger generation. If you are a young photographer then this platform is definitely for you. It does allows for captions and has direct message service, but most importantly it’s a visual platform. That means your images and videos need to speak for themselves. Facebook is now the parent company for Instagram and allows you to advertise just like Facebook.
