Disruptive technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and the interlinked Internet of Things (IoT) have changed the industrial landscape. With the increased reliance in automation and introduction of self-learning algorithms in machines, many fear an amplified threat to cybersecurity and incidence of cybercrimes. Many technical educational institutions have woken up to the need to incorporate these advanced and emerging fields of education in their course curriculum to ready the students for the current needs of the industry. Courses in AI are either being integrated with computer science engineering or combined with robotics and offered as separate degree programmes by universities. Similarly, Cyber Security engineering is fast becoming a course in demand thanks to the myriad lucrative career opportunities available.
