New Delhi: The defence ministry on Thursday removed from its website a document which admitted that Chinese soldiers intruded into Indian territory at different locations in eastern Ladakh in May.
The hasty removal of the document, for which MoD offered no explanation, came after TOI exclusively reported on Thursday that this was the first such official acknowledgement of the intrusions since the military confrontation erupted around 90 days ago.
“The Chinese side transgressed in the areas of Kugrang Nala, Gogra and north bank of Pangong Tso on May 17-18,” the document, which was uploaded on the MoD’s website late on Tuesday, said.
