Why Rapid Antigen Tests Still Being Done In Non-Sealed Areas, Asks HC

But a bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Subramonium Prasad disapproved of the government’s “resistance” to the monitoring, saying the administration appeared to have got “cold feet” as it was raising “technical” grounds in a PIL.

The court instead directed the government to explain why it was still using rapid antigen tests (RAT) in other parts of Delhi when the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) advisory said it must be limited to hotspots/ containment zones and healthcare settings. It ordered the government to clarify from ICMR on using RAT and RT-PCR tests across Delhi.
