Kanpur district administration on Saturday demolished a house belonging to Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the murder of eight UP cops, using bulldozers. However, Dubey still remained absconding almost two days after the incident in Bikru village of Kanpur. Inspector Vinay Tiwari, the station house officer of Chaubeypur police station, was suspended on Saturday for dereliction of duty during the operation against Dubey.
Tiwari has been detained by the STF and is being questioned over his role in the incident. According to Kanpur IG Mohit Agarwal, Tiwari was suspended under suspision of informing Dubey about the operation on Thursady.
