NEET: Plea Against Forced Removal Of Thaali, Metti

An advocate has moved the Madras High Court seeking to restrain the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Medical Council of India (MCI) from forcing the removal of ornaments such as thaali and metti (toe ring) of married female candidates who appear for the NEET exam. The petitioner stated that the rules are in violation of the fundamental rights that are guaranteed under the Constitution.
