Heavy rain which pounded the state since the early hours on Friday left a trail of destruction not only in worst-hit Idukki but in other parts of the state as well.
Elaborating on the rain havoc across the state Chief Minster Pinarayi Vijayan said as many as 47 houses were partially damaged in Thiruvananthapuram while two houses were destroyed. A person died at Uzhamalaykkal after a tree fell on him. Partial damage to 125 houses and destruction of one house were reported from Kollam.
