Health Worries - Former Cics Seeks Release Of Activist
Two former Central Information Commissioners appealed to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to release poet, writer and activist Varavara Rao on humanitarian grounds from prison.

After being initially kept at Yerawada jail in Pune, Rao was later shifted to Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai in connection with the Bhima Koragaon case. The letter emphasised that before being taken in to judicial custody, Rao suffered from multiple health issues including piles, thyroid, prostate gland enlargement, coronary artillery issue, acidity and migraine synesis.
