The Uttar Pradesh police on Sunday claimed to have recovered the clothes believed to match the description of the two suspects in the murder of Hindu Samaj Party (HSP) leader Kamlesh Tiwari.
The clothes, which included a blood-stained saffron kurta, along with a bag and a new mobile set were found in a room at Hotel Khalsa Inn here. A blood-stained towel was also found.
The suspects, police believe, checked into the hotel before committing the crime and later dumped their belongings there and left.
The police released the names assumed by the two suspects while checking into the hotel. Both names are linked to Surat, where police claim the conspiracy to murder Tiwari was hatched.
