IT Firms' On-Site Services Delivery Hit By Visa Curbs

Visa restrictions and nationalist sentiments the US, the UK and Australia have started to impact the on-site delivery model of India’s IT services companies.

According to a recent RBI report, the share of the on-site delivery model has come down from 25.5 per cent in 2007-08 to 15.5 per cent in 2018-19, or a little lessthan a sixth of the total software and ITeS exports in the fiscal year. In the onsite delivery model, IT companies send employees to clients’ site in countries like the UK and the US.
