Major Terror Strike Averted In Delhi, Assam; 3 Held With IED
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police claim to have averted a major terror strike in a local fair in Dudhnoi of district Goalpara in Assam with the arrest of three accused identified as Ranjit Islam, Luit Zameel Jaman and Muqaddir Islam.

Two-button actuated knife and about 1 kg explosives and IED components were recovered along with pipes, nails and ball bearings.

A trap was laid near Madhuban Lodge, Assam by a joint team of Special Cell and Assam Police of PS Goalpara on November 24.

The joint team acted swiftly and apprehended three accused from the spot before they could detonate the IED at Raas-Mela Dudhnoi.
