NEW DELHI: India has become the fifth-worst Coronavirus-hit country in the world as it surpassed Spain on Saturday. According to data compiled by John Hopkins University, the total number of confirmed cases in India stands at 243,733 as opposed to Spain’s figures of 240,978. On Saturday morning, Health Ministry data said that the total tally of COVID-19 cases climbed to 2,36,657 after registering the biggest single-day spike of 9,887 fresh cases in last 24 hours.
