Visual artists may not be in the frontline as the world continues to battle an un-seen enemy, but they do embrace humanity. To say the least, this is not easy when artists also bear the brunt of the (Covid-19.) In Iloilo, artists are no exception to humanity’s reawakening as they step up to do their share in crisis.

Iloilo's Artists Unite, Raise Funds For Face Masks

Artists from the city and province of Iloilo have auctioned o their works online (ilonggo-artistsagainst-covid-19.myshopify.com/) to fund production of face masks to be given free to the public.

Artist Rock Drilon explains the art-for-a-cause is the brainchild of Mayor Jerry Treñas, an art aficionace masks do who wants to bolster Iloilo City’s public-private partnership (PPP) in battling Covid-19.

“We just responded to his call and collaborated,” Rock tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle.
