The Union Minister of Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, on Sunday said that the country will have around 100 Hunar Haats across the country in five years. “Every month we will plan the event at some or the other part of the country,” he added.
He called the recently concluded event that was held at the India Gate lawns a “historic and successful” event and said that the event has managed to become one of the biggest in the country to celebrate the legacy of traditional arts and crafts.
Thanking the Prime Minister for his surprise visit to the Hunar Haar and saying that it gave a boost to the event, Naqvi said: “In ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated ‘Hunar Haat’ and artisans, craftsmen and their exquisite indigenous handmade products.”
