AT 9 pm on Saturday, a good 15 hours before he was to be sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister for a third time at Ramlila Maidan, Arvind Kejriwal was busy hosting a dinner for his six Cabinet picks at his Flag Staff Road residence.
While a Twitter post by the AAP chief said he congratulated them on their election victories and wished them success for their new innings, the rendezvous was also to discuss Delhi’s development roadmap for the first three months.
AAP’s action plan includes scaling up transport systems with 2,000 new buses. The procurement of 4,000 buses, promised in the last term, was already underway ahead of the elections. The present fleet of DTC comprises 6,000 buses.
