Two-time Paralympic gold medallist Devendra Jhajharia has once again set out for voyage to the Games village. After a world record gold in 2004, Jhajharia clinched the yellow metal yet again in 2016 Rio, in his trademark world-record shattering style.
This time, Jhajharia faces a challenge of not only having tough competition in javelin throw F46 category at home but unfavourable results in recent years.
He missed out on a medal at the 2018 Para Asian Games, followed by a shoulder injury that kept him out of action for so long that rumours circulated around about his retirement.
Nevertheless, an unruffled Jhajharia is sweating it out under the scorching sun in Churu, Rajasthan with an aim to bag another medal at the marquee event.
