Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanasamy and Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, who have been at loggerheads over various issues, on Sunday got into a verbal duel on the helmet rule. Kiran Bedi hit out at Narayansamy and others, alleging the violation of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act during a campaign rally on a bike without helmets.

The former IPS officer also said she requested the Puducherry Director General of Police Balaji Srivastava to take legal action against the ‘defaulters’ for the violation of the MV Act and the directive of the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court in this regard.
