Cops Fire Tear Gas As 2 Groups Clash Over CAA

The ongoing protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) turned violent on Sunday after clashes broke out between pro and anti-CAA groups near Jaffrabad in northeast Delhi, while similar sit-in protests started in several others part of the Capital.

A large number of security personnel were deployed as hundreds of people, who had been protesting against the CAA, blocked a road near the Jaffrabad metro station since Saturday evening, demanding a rollback of the contentious citizenship act.
