Heat is on as country set to bake over the Bank Holiday weekend

HERE comes the sun... all 29C of it with the year’s highest temperatures so far forecast for today.

And Kerry in the south and Clare out west are set to bake in the hottest rays.

The rest of the country can expect temperatures of between 20C and 26C as the Bank Holiday weekend looms.

A Met Eireann spokesperson said today will be “dry, warm and mostly sunny with afternoon temperatures of 22C to 26C, higher in parts of the west and south-west, cooler on eastern and southern coasts with onshore breezes”.
