The husband of Jean Eagers is to stand trial accused of her murder.
William Eagers, 60, was also charged yesterday with producing an article in the course of a dispute, namely a samurai sword.
Mum-of-two Jean, 57, died from her wounds at her house in Willow Wood Grove estate in North Dublin on June 21.
She was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short time later.
Det Gda Shane McCartan told Dublin District Court the accused “made no reply to either charge after caution”.

THE husband of mum-of-two Jean Eagers is to stand trial accused of her murder at their suburban home.
Jean, 57, died from her wounds at her Willow Wood Grove estate property in Hartstown in the north of Dublin on June 21.
