Sinn Fein’s deputy leader must apologise for breaching social distance rules at a republican funeral, the North’s First Minister insisted yesterday.

Arlene Foster said her partner in Government Michelle O’Neill had “undermined” the Stormont Executive at Tuesday’s service for IRA veteran Bobby Storey, who died after an unsuccessful lung tranplant last week.

With police investigating potential breaches of coronavirus lockdown rules that limit outdoor public gatherings to 30 people, Mrs Foster urged Mrs O’Neill to say sorry.

She added: “It is quite intolerable now people think there are some to whom the law doesn’t apply and indeed there are some politicians saying, ‘Do as I say but not as I do’.
