Two young girls have been hailed heroes after saving two men from drowning.
Leaving Cert student Clodagh and her younger sister Lorna West Keogh, 11, from Jenkinstown, Co Kilkenny were in the “right place at the right time” on Monday afternoon.
The 18-year-old, who was due to sit her exams this week, was on the bank of the River Nore close to a spot near the Rock Bar in Threecastles when they heard screams coming from around 300m away.
Clodagh, who has always been taught to be careful around water explained: “Lorna and I were with our dad Aaron Keogh, who is originally from Dublin, and a friend of his who are heavily involved in the swimming scene in Kilkenny.
