Pub Owner With Covid ‘Very Sorry'
An under-fire publican who is at the centre of a Covid-19 storm is “very sorry” about potentially infecting other people in his bar, a relative insisted yesterday.

Gordon Murray said he had mild flu-like symptoms and was tested on Saturday but returned to work in his bar An Bothar Rua that night.

The publican said there were 60 customers but locals yesterday described the gathering – which included an 18th birthday – as a “substantial crowd” of “closer to 100”.

Mr Murray tested positive on Monday.
