The Red Hands are due to travel to Ballybofey for the penultimate Division One tie, but Donegal is currently facing Covid-19 restrictions, with the Ballybofey area among the worst affected.

Restrictions are due to be lifted on Friday October 16, just two days before the scheduled NFL derby fixture.

“We’re not too sure at the minute, so we’re all playing it by ear, not knowing what’s going on,” said Hampsey.

“But we’re back training and glad to be back training as a collective unit.”

The Coalisland clubman is hoping that a second suspension of Gaelic games activity is not made necessary by the public health crisis.

“At the start of the year it was looking like we weren’t going to get much football, so we’re just glad to get a bit.”
