Nichola Duffy, from Co Meath, completed a stunning 114km – the equivalent of almost three Dublin City marathons – earlier this month to raise funds for Millbury, a care facility in Navan that was devastated by the Covid-19 crisis.

The mum of one live-streamed the entire mega-marathon on social media and raised €2,800.

Ultra-runner Nichola had been due to represent Ireland in the Anglo Celtic Plate 100km Home International Marathon in Gloucester last month but the event was cancelled because of coronavirus.
