Little Mix reveal the advice they wish ex-boss Simon Cowell had given them

Little Mix have revealed the lessons they wish former mentor Simon Cowell had taught them: be kind and “don’t be an a**e”.

As they launch a find-a-band series on BBC1, the girls couldn’t resist having another jibe at pop guru Cowell, who helped them find fame on X Factor.

Drawing on their own experience of nearly a decade at the top, they also advised aspiring stars to “try not to get ahead of yourself ”.

Jade Thirlwall said: “We’ll support everyone because we’ve been through a similar experience and probably could have benefited from a bit more support along the way.
