Hairstylist Donna Savage, from Co Cork, was due to get married last Friday.

She told a local radio station how she marked the day by going to the church for a twirl around the car park in her dress along with a group of her socially-distancing bridesmaids.

Speaking on Cork’s 96FM, Donna said: “I was supposed to get married on Friday in Killarney.

“So that morning I was a little bit emotional and I decided to put on my wedding dress. I was messing.

“My partner Liam kind of panicked when he saw me in it and he decided to go to Tesco to do the shopping in case I went in my wedding dress.
