Star says tragedy made him quit LA but now he’ll raise a family in Ireland

BRIAN Dowling said his mother’s sudden death and his desire to raise a family in Ireland led him to pack up his life in LA.

The ex-Big Brother star, 42, admitted before Rosie passed away last year, he had never imagined returning home.

But after a long journey home to mourn her, the Kildare man made his mind up.

He told Irish Daily Mirror: “I used to always think, ‘Oh god I won’t live in Ireland again’. Because I left Ireland in 1998 when I joined Ryanair.

“But I think losing mum initially kind of changed me slightly in the way of, ‘Oh no, I will move home at some point’.

“It just made me realise life is so short, we have to be around the people that we love.
