Three politicians broke the two-metre social distancing rule outside the Dail – hours before one of them lectured the public to keep observing it.
The Irish Mirror photographed Fine Gael’s Frank Feighan sitting on a wall beside party colleagues Peter Burke and Jennifer Carroll MacNeill who shared a bench.
Sinn Fein’s Louise O’Reilly blasted the trio as “reckless” and said: “Surely Fine Gael should be practising what they preach.” Less than three hours after our exclusive pictures were taken, LongfordWestmeath representative Mr Burke warned anyone thinking of breaking the current rules not to “jump the gun”.
He added in a press release: “It’s clear the two-metre distance is the right advice at this point in time.
