Emirates to launch special flights to five Indian cities

Emirates on Saturday announced that it will be operating special repatriation flights to five Indian cities between July 12 and July 26, 2020, to assist stranded Indians get home and for residents of UAE currently in India to return to the UAE.

The flights will be operated to Bengaluru, Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram.

For Bengaluru, Delhi and Kochi there will be two flights daily, whereas for Mumbai there will be three flights daily and for Thiruvananthapuram, there will be only one flight daily.

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA), will, as of Sunday (July 12, 2020), resume its services to customers based on the Cabinet Resolution issued in this regard.

As per the Resolution, ICA will collect the fees due for the service to ensure work progress and the provision of a high level of service.

As of Sunday, the Authority will start receiving applications for renewal of ID cards and visas that expired during March and April. For applications that expired in May, it will begin accepting them on Aug.8, 2020.
