Emirates Airlines has unveiled multi-faceted measures for employee and customer care at every step of the travel journey, redefining safety and hygiene standards on board and on the ground. The new measures took effect from Thursday, with the resumption of regularly scheduled passenger flights to nine destinations.
The nine destinations to which Emirates will be flying from Thursday include: London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne.
In a statement, Dubai Airports said all flights will operate from DXB’s Terminal 3 and those travelling are required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment, PPE, and arrive to the airport four hours before their flight (but not more than four hours prior to flight time) to allow time for additional security measures.
For those travelling selected cafes, restaurants and retail outlets will also be open in the airport’s concourse, the statement concluded.
Emirates has introduced complimentary hygiene kits to be given to every passenger upon check-in at Dubai International Airport and on flights to Dubai. These kits comprise of masks, gloves, antibacterial wipes and hand sanitiser.
