Nuno Espirito Santo says football is helping young Wolves defender Max Kilman cope with the tragic loss of his father.

The centre-back, 23, is grieving after his dad Alex died earlier this month but is still training and could even keep his place against Southampton at Molineux tonight.

Boss Nuno said: “We are here to support him and help him. Losing a father, I can’t imagine anything worse than that.

“We are here to support him but he is a strong boy. He is training but the sadness doesn’t go away.

“We know we have to grieve and have to overcome the situation.
