AROUND a quarter of a century ago, two of Manchester City’s most famous fans released the iconic song ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.
The recording by the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, hit the airwaves in 1996 and remains a tune for the ages.
Yet it seems the lyrics mean little or nothing to City boss Pep Guardiola, who this week did just what Oasis warned people not to do by taking a swipe at his main managerial rivals.
Good for him. Guardiola believes the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho along with their respective clubs, Liverpool and Tottenham, were two of several that attempted to stab City in the back during the Uefa and CAS investigation into alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations.
Fasten your seatbelts, because the Premier League has just got really interesting.
It hasn’t been this season, it has to be said – and we have Liverpool’s absolute brilliance to blame for that.
