Travellers hurry back from France before 4am deadline
EXPRESS RETURN
TRAVELLERS from France returned to Scotland yesterday just in time to beat today’s 4am quarantine cut-off.

Holidaymakers arriving from destinations including France, the Netherlands and Malta will have quarantine for 14-days from today.

Passengers landing in Edinburgh from Toulouse yesterday breathed a sigh of relief before the new measures took effect.

Jack Haynes, 26, from Edinburgh, was returning from a week’s holiday in the south of France.

He said: “We were booked on this flight and it’s just lucky for us we made it back home in time.

“We were expecting the airport to be pandemonium with people trying to get home. The majority of flights have been cancelled.”
