SIMON Cowell has given his £1million pay cheque from a TV ad to a kids charity close to his heart.
The music mogul, dad to Eric, six, asked Marks & Spencer to donate the money to Together for Short Lives, which is expected to lose at least 50% of its annual income because of the coronavirus crisis.
Cowell appears in the recent “My Marks Fave” M&S ads being shown on ITV during Britain’s Got Talent.
He is seen judging sausages and fruit along with other BGT stars such as Amanda Holden and David Walliams.
He told M&S that he would not accept a fee to star in the series of ads – if they could support the charity over the course of the year with a series of fundraising initiatives adding up to £1m.
