A “GAME-CHANGING” blood test has been developed which can predict who is likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers studied 573 patients with “mild cognitive impairment” – when someone develops minor thinking and memory problems worse than expected for their age.

Half of people who suffer this are known to develop dementia.

Scientists at Lund University in Sweden identified two key blood molecules that predicted who would go on to develop Alzheimer’s – the most common form of dementia – four years on.
