THE devastated husband of a woman strangled by her police officer lover spoke of his dismay yesterday after the killer was jailed for just 10 and a half years.

Timothy Brehmer, a serial womaniser, was cleared of murdering mother-of-two Claire Parry, 41, but admitted manslaughter.

Brehmer, 41, throttled her in his car when she texted his wife about their affair which had lasted for more than 10 years.

Mrs Parry’s husband Andrew, said: “I am incredibly disappointed at the verdict. I believe Brehmer’s account of that day to be inconsistent and untruthful.
